Fernwärme Wien Building in Spittelau

The building of Viennese heating operator Fernwärme Wien is located in Spittelau north-west from the city centre. The complex also includes an incinerator and heating plant (you can see part of it on the right), operated by Fernwärme Wien and designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser, the architect who has also made the famous Hundertwasserhaus in Löwengasse in Vienna.

Donaukanal in Wien Spittelau

The river on the picture is the Donaukanal. Its colour does not look particularly clean in this picture, but it is different on other days (depending on the weather upstream the Danube from Vienna).

The picture is taken from a pedestrian bridge over the Donaukanal. You can get there by U-Bahn lines U4 or U6 (station Spittelau).
