Though this picture may seem like it rains in Schönbrunn, it is not the case. This picture of Schönbrunn Palace was taken from behind the Neptune Fountain. The fountain is located at the foot of the hill half way from the castle to Gloriette in Schönbrunn Park. The fountain is huge and so is the sculptural group representing Neptune. You can walk around the fountain and see it from virtually all angles.
The only downside is that when the weather is nice, there are usually crowds of tourists and everybody wants to take pictures. The price for this picture was a little waiting time and struggle for an unrestricted view (without any pieces of excess heads or arms). After all, Schönbrunn is one of the top landmarks of Vienna.
