You can filter or sort the hotels by various criteria, including room rate, stars, guest review rating score, or distance from Thaliastrasse Station:
Thaliastrasse Station is located on the Gürtel at the western edge of Vienna city centre. Major streets near Thaliastrasse Station include Lerchenfelder Strasse (the street which connects Thaliastrasse Station with the Inner City), Neustiftgasse (parallel to Lerchenfelder Strasse in the south), Thaliastrasse (from the station to the west), and Lerchenfelder Gürtel (a section of the Gürtel). Besides metro line U6, Thaliastrasse Station has frequent tram service (tram is actually the fastest connection to the Inner City).
The concentration of hotels near Thaliastrasse Station is considerably lower than in the Inner City, but you can still find several good hotels here (mostly 3 star or 4 star hotels). Most hotels are located in Lerchenfelder Strasse, Neustiftgasse, or on Lerchenfelder Gürtel.
In about 5 minutes by tram (or 10-15 minutes walking) you can get from Thaliastrasse Station to Doktor-Karl-Renner-Ring on the border of Vienna’s first district, Innere Stadt. The Inner City is the best hotel location in Vienna – it is actually quite large, though still perfectly possible to cross by walking in less than half an hour. Here you can read more about the best hotel locations in Vienna Inner City.
Another popular place to stay in Vienna is the area around Westbahnhof, Vienna West Train Station. It is located south of Thaliastrasse Station, only 2 metro stops on line U6. Westbahnhof is also a typical access point to Mariahilfer Strasse, the famous shopping street and also a good hotel location.
Note that many hotels in Vienna city centre are often fully booked. It is highly recommended to book accommodation well in advance, especially if you want to come in a busy period (such as the summer season, Christmas, and several other holidays and events).
