Opernring is a section of Ringstrasse (Ring Street) near Vienna State Opera (Staatsoper). You can sort or filter the hotels by price, stars, review rating, or distance from Vienna State Opera:
Opernring got its name from Vienna State Opera, which is the most remarkable building on this street. Opernring, a section of Vienna’s well-known circle street Ringstrasse, stretches from the junction of Ringstrasse with Kärntner Strasse (another famous street) in front of Vienna State Opera up to the junction of Ringstrasse and Eschenbachgasse, which is a small street connecting Opernring with Getreidemarkt.
Opernring is actually quite short (only about 500 metres), but it is located very close to many of Vienna’s top landmarks. Adjacent sections of Ringstrasse are Burgring (in the west) and Kärntner Ring (in the east). Approximately in the middle Opernring crosses Operngasse, which links it to Albertinaplatz.
There are two hotels directly on Opernring, facing Vienna State Opera and Burggarten Park: the five star hotel Le Meridien Vienna and the four star hotel Am Opernring. More hotels (mostly 3 star to 5 star hotels) can be found in the side streets. The best street for hotels near Opernring is definitely Kärntner Strasse, a traditional hotel address.
You can also find several good hotels at and near Karlsplatz, a square two blocks from Opernring. Karlsplatz and Opernring are connected with an underpass, which also serves Karlsplatz Metro Station. The entrance to the subway on Opernring is situated right in front of Vienna State Opera.
