You can sort or filter the hotels by various criteria, such as room rate, stars, guest review rating, or distance from Museum of Natural History:
Naturhistorisches Museum Wien, or Vienna Museum of Natural History, is located at Maria-Theresien-Platz, facing another indentically looking building, Museum of Art History. The twin museums are among the best known landmarks of Vienna. They have a perfect location very close to Hofburg (Imperial Palace), Museum Quarter, Vienna City Hall, and many other interesting places in Vienna Inner City. Major streets near Naturhistorisches Museum are Burgring, Doktor-Karl-Renner-Ring (both are sections of the Ringstrasse), Burggasse, Museumstrasse, and Museumsplatz.
Given its central location, it is clear that there are many hotels near Natural History Museum. Popular hotel locations include the streets around Rathausplatz (City Hall Square), Museumsquartier, or anywhere along the Ringstrasse. Most hotels near Naturishistorisches Museum are 3 star, 4 star, or 5 star hotels. Cheap hotels are mostly located outside the Inner City (west of Naturhistorisches Museum).
Naturhistorisches Museum has excellent public transport connections thanks to several metro (U-Bahn) stations in its close proximity. The nearest station is Volkstheater at the crossing or Burggasse and Museumstrasse. Other nearby metro stations include Museumsquartier Station (on the other side of Museumsplatz next to Kunsthistorisches Museum), Herrengasse (behind the Imperial Palace), and Rathaus Station (near Vienna City Hall, with several very good and very affordable 3 star hotels).
Many hotels in Vienna city centre are often fully booked long in advance. Book accommodation early, especially if you are not flexible with dates and/or you want to come in the high season or around public holidays.
