Eurolines bus network operates buses between several Romanian and Austrian cities. The bus starts in Bucharest at RAHOVA bus station and then stops in Ploiesti (south bus station), Brasov (Bartolomeo), Fagaras, Sibiu, Sebes, Deva (main station), Lugoj, Timisoara, and Arad. The bus goes over Hungary overnight, but does not take any passengers there.
In Austria the bus stops in outlet centre Parndorf and then in Vienna Erdberg bus terminal. From Vienna the bus continues to St. Pölten, Linz, and Salzburg.
Eurolines buses between Romania and Austria go several times per week in each direction, but some of the buses end in Vienna and don’t continue to the other Austrian cities.
Buses depart from Bucharest at 7 am and they arrive in Vienna at 7 am the following day. The departures from Vienna are at 8 pm.
The ticket from Bucharest to Vienna costs EUR 65 one-way and EUR 105 for return ticket. The fares are slightly less for less distant Romanian cities and slightly more when you go to Linz or Salzburg. There are discounts for children, people under 26, and seniors over 60.

The buses from Romania arrive to Erdberg bus station. Though the station is located outside the city centre, it has a direct connection with central Vienna with the metro line U3 (it takes only a few minutes).
According to schedule the Bucharest-Vienna buses don’t stop at Vienna International Airport. To get from Erdberg to Vienna International Airport take U3 to Wien Mitte and then take the City Airport Train or S-Bahn to Schwechat Airport.
